WALEE

WALEE is an extremely versatile and experienced artist who has created jaw-dropping pieces for Gillette, Lego, Playstation, and several other high profile companies. While most artists who attempt more than one form of art are significantly less skilled in their secondary crafts, WALEE is a rare exception. He is a highly skilled photographer, sculpter, animator, and graphic designer. He recently gave us a sneak peak a photo-shoot he did for the French bridal publication, Mariée Magazine. Although on the premise, this shoot is pretty simple, the added visual tricks and a little bit of quality modeling set it apart the pack. Changing your perspective is always good way to give your shots a fresh and original feel, and he executed that idea perfectly. Hit the jump for the rest of the pics...

TECHNOLOGIC

I'm not 100% sure which photographer took these pictures, though preliminary research leads me to believe it was editorial photographer Mathias Alan, regardless, these images are amazing. The juxtaposition of the deceivingly simple outfits and the simple setting, most likely the photographer's apartment/house, makes for a set of visually stunning images. Many people believe that for something to be beautiful it has to be complicated, complex, or extremely intricate, I believe that beauty can come in various forms, from the extremely simple feeling emanating from these images (that by the way have a sort of "Bladerunner" cyberpunk feel to them), or from the complex work of Gustav Klimt, it really doesn't matter. Anyway, I really like these pictures hopefully you'll enjoy them as well.

Band of Outsiders fw 2010 lookbook

Band of Outsiders put out pictures of their new fw 2010 collection, and as always, I love them. I don't just love the clothes, though I love the actual pictures, they're just fantastic. BoO has recently used the same basic style for their photos, giving them a sun washed, almost lomographic quality to them, and thats exactly why I love them. The way they're shot always gives me a feeling of having been there, as if the pictures are meant to represent manufactured memories.

I really like the clothes as well. BoO knows how to put out these beautiful preppy pieces, that can either be done up, to dress smartly, or can just be worn as everyday, playfully preppy pieces. Here are the pictures if you havent seem them yet:

Apple just opened an impressive new retail store in Paris, France. Not surprisingly, the design is gorgeous. But why can't they make them this nice in America? Check out more pictures here.

Some bad news for all my fellow James-Bond-in-the-form-of-Daniel-Craig fans. Earlier this week, MGM announced that they have indefinitely suspended development of James Bond 23, which was originally supposed to be release this year. Let's hope another studio decides to pick it up! Thanks to Celebuzz for the heads up.

If you haven't seen the "iPhone 4 vs. EVO 4G" animated videos yet, you've been missing out. No matter if you're an Apple fan or hater, they are simply hilarious (watch here). As it turned out, they were created by a 25-year-old Best Buy employee, who has been under investigation by his employer for "...openly disparaging our employees, our customers and our vendor partners." Looks like they have cleared him of any wrongdoing and invited him back to work this week, but should he go back? What would you do?
